The difference between a church and a church home is whether or not you are connected. We believe that being in community with other Christians is critical to your spiritual growth. The Bible knows nothing of doing this Christian walk on our own. In fact, over and over again God works through communities of faith where individuals are connected to one another. At St. Andrew we offer the opportunity for you to connect to both God and others in our community through various ministries. Whether you are new to St. Andrew or a long time member, there is a place for children, students, adults, and families to connect to one another and grow to become a more passionate servant of Christ.
Starting Point is the fastest way to get connected into deeper fellowship and growth here at St. Andrew. Through three dynamic sessions, Discover St. Andrew, Get Connected, and Make an Impact, you will have the opportunity to tour the church campus, meet key staff members, connect with some of our current members, and ask questions about our ministries and programs. If you are interested in membership at St. Andrew, Starting Point is the first step, giving you the opportunity to learn about St. Andrew and our ministries. St. Andrew believes that God made us to be in community with one another. Church membership is a commitment in which the church promises to support you in your Christian walk and you dedicate yourself to a faithful Christian life. Whether you are joining a church for the first time, or transferring your membership from another United Methodist church or a church of another denomination, we would love to welcome you into our church family. You can learn more about membership at our Joining Day Luncheons, which are scheduled quarterly on Sundays from 12:00-1:00 p.m. in Piro Hall. This relaxed setting will give you the chance to learn more about St. Andrew, meet St. Andrew staff, and get to know other new members. If you decide to join, you will have the opportunity to take the vows of membership together at the conclusion of the luncheon, by accepting your belief in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and committing to serving this church through worship, connection, serving and giving.
Baptism is an important part of church membership. If you have not been baptized, we can arrange this with you personally prior to joining. For more information on Baptism, click here.
If you are interested in membership but are unable to attend the luncheon, contact Stacey Jacobs, 214.291.8021 for more joining options.
The next New Member Luncheon is scheduled for December 3, 2017.
