Connection Groups are small groups where adults connect through fellowship, friendship, and faith journeys. Group discussion is based on content from the current worship series, allowing sermon topics to take root in a deeper way in the lives of participants. Groups generally meet for a 5-8 week session three times a year.
Here’s what one member has to say about connection groups: “Being a new person in the community and new to St. Andrew, I couldn’t think of a better way to get connected than to volunteer to host a Connection group in our home. What a wonderful experience it has been and continues to be as each week new and now dear friends gather to discuss the previous week’s sermon, scripture texts, and share in one another’s joys and concerns. We learn so much from one another and truly feel connected in the faith community that is St. Andrew.”
Winter 2018 Series: Weeks of January 14 through February 11
Series Title: Starting Over
If you’ve ever played a game, you know the appeal of a do-over. If you’re human, there’s certainly a part of life you wish you could do over, too. The new year is about fresh beginnings. But is it really possible to start over, or is life a pile of regrets and consequences? Jesus promises that with faith, we can become a new creation, born with God’s Spirit, and how, when we follow Jesus, God heals the broken relationships in our lives and gives us the power of Christ’s resurrection in the midst of our not-yet-redeemed world.
